Amazon has it now for $39 for 14 months (Quicken Deluxe) +1 But I think the cost to you was $34 a year. It doesn't seem to bother anyone to pay for those programs. I pay more than that every year for Turbo Tax Deluxe. I have no issue buying a yearly renewal and just did so for $34 a month or so back by finding a deal. I'm sorry that you are irritated that they actually need to generate revenue to pay their employees and support the product.
When does quicken 2017 expire download#
I find great value in being able to automatically download transactions from over 20 accounts without any effort. I've been using Quicken for over 20 years and rarely encounter serious issues that aren't resolved quickly. You can't seriously be rethinking going to the subscription model because of momentary bug experienced by some users. =googlefinance() is an amazing thing for so many reasons. I can't comment on how that works these days.
PS: I dropped managing my investments from Quicken a long time ago and moved to a 100% google sheets solution that suits my needs. I am not saying as a fan-boy of Quicken, I am just realizing that it does appear that the subscription model has saved the product and the company by giving them a cash flow and need to keep the product current and viable making it a win for those old ducks like me that has created a life-time model for money management based around Quicken. I wish I could say that for some other things I pay for. Since I use it to manage and track all of my day to day spending, it provides invaluable service to me and I would probably pay even more than the normal subscription price. I think the rejuvenation of Quicken by the spin-off and return of old leadership has been very very good for the product.
When does quicken 2017 expire windows#
I nearly dropped the product after a 20+ year run (I started in the windows 3.1 days) because it was in such horrible shape around 2015-16. I will say that the recent versions of Quicken (I am currently on 2020 version 23.17) and for about the last 12 months has been the most stable and functional (especially for online transaction support) I have seen in years.
